covid update: We are doing trunk or treat on Arbor Street during covid instead of an indoor carnival.
In the 1990s, United Protestant Church began organizing a small Halloween Carnival for the children of the congregation. In the beginning, there were a few games, some candy, and punch from McDonalds. Over the years, the Carnival grew as more local families joined in. Eventually, with hundreds of children celebrating Halloween with us, we started holding the event in the rec space of St. Margaret Mary, at the other end of the park. In 2013, for the first time in many years, there was no carnival, but in 2017, we were able to revive the event, moving back to our own space at United Protestant. Moving forward, we are excited to add new fun and games for the community to enjoy.
