Join us at the Fish Heads Concert, Sept 28

The last summer concert at United Protestant Church will be on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 6:00 p.m.  The Fish Heads will be entertaining us with bluegrass, country and folk music.  There is no admission but a good-will offering will be taken during the concert with all proceeds going to the Restore UP Church Building Fund.  Refreshments will be served after the concert.  Many thanks to Russ Francisco and Marine General for sponsoring this concert.  Hope you can join us for a great evening of music and fun!  

Holy Hootenanners Concert

United Protestant Church Summer Concert Series invites you to the Holy Hootenanners!
Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 7:00 p.m.

The Holy Hootananners are a spiritual force that originated in 2013 at a small church in Mahtowa MN, pop. 370. Their music is a blend of gospel, blues, folk and spiritual genres.

Summer 2022 Events

This year’s Spaghetti Dinner is May 22nd and pick up only. You must buy tickets in advance.

May 22nd, 12:00 – 3:00, $12/plate including spaghetti, meatballs, salad, breadstick, and cake

We will be hosting four free concerts this summer, starting in June with the Singing Slovenes. We will be accepting free will donations, but you need not purchase entry.

Centennial Celebration Photos

Thank you to everyone that came and celebrated our church’s centennial with us this April. We saw the removal of the cornerstone, displayed the contents of the 1921 time capsule, heard from past clergy, and enjoyed good company.

100 Years of Worship at United Protestant Church

On Sunday, April 24, 2022, members and friends of United Protestant Church will gather at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate one hundred years of worshipping in the building at 830 88th Ave West. The first worship service was held in the church on Sunday, April 2, 1922.

Former pastors will share their perspectives during this centennial worship celebration and the contents of the time capsule sealed in the cornerstone in 1921 will be on display. Refreshments will be served following the service. All are welcome – we hope you can join us!
