Cold Weather Church Closing Policy
If the Duluth weather reports say the air temperature or wind child is –20° degrees or below OR if there is a winter weather warning for an ice or snowstorm with more than 5 inches of snow expected (or if
there is a blizzard warning), Sunday worship will be cancelled. The Pastor and the Church Moderator will make the decision on whether or not to hold services by 8:00 am or before. An e-mail will be sent to all members who have provided the church with an e-mail address. (Note: we will try to collect cell phone numbers to send text messages in the future.) Members are also encouraged to call the Pastor or the Moderator after 8:30 am to see if church is cancelled due to severe weather.
(As many of you know, we cancelled the Christmas Eve service this year due to the weather forecast for –20° temps along with high winds.)
